The Lindenkinderchor, conducted by Ms. Guth-Albermann, sang the song "An meinem Fahrrad, ist alles dran!" to welcome the guests and get them in the mood.
The planning group for the parents' café worked hard to prepare individual stations where the children and their parents could learn how to help themselves.
The "tire patching" station was particularly exciting. Here, a hole had to be found in the bicycle tube and then sealed with the appropriate tools. But the other stations were also exciting and informative. For example, together with their parents, the children found out how to adjust the saddle to the correct height, what a roadworthy bike looks like and why the right lights are so important when cycling.
In between, there was delicious cake and the wonderful weather invited us to linger on the terrace.
The stations were supervised by employees of the school, and Mr. Feldhaus, who we got to know through the Gronau Volunteer Center, also gave us great and dedicated support on this day.
Many thanks to him and all those who helped to make this parents' café afternoon a complete success once again.
