Happy lantern festival at the Linden School

Weeks beforehand, a team of school staff and dedicated parents got together to plan the joint celebration. The children made beautiful lanterns and the cheerful singing of the pupils could not only be heard during lessons.

Many busy hands decorated the schoolyard with numerous fairy lights and lovingly created decorations.

At 5 p.m., the families met in the schoolyard and the Linden School community was delighted that numerous siblings had also accepted the invitation.

After a brief welcome and admiring the fantastic lanterns, everyone sang the song "The Man in the Moon" under the direction of Ms. Guth-Albermann to get everyone in the mood. Then the procession of lights set off accompanied by the Gronau police. A long queue of people moved along Gildehauser Straße in the direction of the Laga grounds. Due to the construction site in the city center, the parade was moved slightly this year, so that the route ran directly across the Laga grounds, past the Rock 'n' Pop Museum, towards St. Anthony's Church and back to the school via the Laga grounds.

Thanks to the musical accompaniment of Mr. Koch, Mr. Beier and Ms. Guth-Albermann, there was musical support on the way from their own little "band". Familiar autumn and lantern songs rang out at the various assembly points and many a Gronau resident joined the happy community for a while.

Back in the schoolyard, everyone enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere of the evening together over warm drinks and hot sausages.

Many thanks to everyone who makes this lantern festival possible! Special thanks go to the Lindenschule support association and the Gronau police, who ensure that we get through the traffic safely and support us so reliably!
