In this context, both classes went to the recycling center in Gescher. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Lange, the fourth graders were given an introduction to the tasks of Entsorgungsgesellschaft Westmünsterland (EGW) and visited the waste sorting facilities on site. The children were very impressed by the large mountains of waste that were delivered almost every minute. It became clear how important the tasks of correct sorting and recycling are for us all. The children showed great skill and enjoyment in a matching group game about sorting waste.
Another highlight of the excursion was making their own paper, which the children were proud to take home with them.
We would like to thank Ms. Lange for her great support and the EGW for making such an excursion possible for the pupils.
