Appreciation

The Lindenschule - today we celebrate ourselves!

At the end of the school year, the pupils and adults gathered for a small celebration that was all about appreciation and togetherness. Under the motto "Today we celebrate ourselves", the children and adults gathered together to look back on some of the school year's successes.

The celebration began with a musical performance by the Linden children's choir, who sang the Linden school song under the direction of Ms. Guth-Albermann. The well-known melody quickly rang out from all the audience seats and everyone sang along with great enthusiasm. Afterwards, Ms. Oruc-Kerem and Mr. Wachter honored all the student helpers who had once again made a special contribution to school life this year.

Between the awards ceremony, the children from the movement arts club repeatedly showed off their skills and created a lively atmosphere. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Grammel-Engel, the pupils learned how to juggle with scarves and balls. They also earned special applause for their performances with rings and plates.

Mr. Witte honored the first three places in the school cycling competition. Classes 1a (2nd place) and 3b (3rd place) received sweet surprises and class 2a, which came first in the internal ranking with 3,712 km, was delighted to receive an ice cream voucher. The prizes were financed by the Linden School's support association. Many thanks for that!

Ms. Neumann particularly praised the pupils who had been involved in the Fairtrade steering group during the school year.

A very special moment was the performance of Benjamin from class 3b, who skillfully played a song on his violin. The audience was fascinated by how skillfully Benjamin handled the violin.

Mr. Thierschmann honored the children who took part in the Kangaroo math competition and recognized their efforts. This school year, a particularly large number of pupils took part in this mathematics competition.

Gabriel from class 4b enchanted the audience with a beautiful piano piece, which he played with nimble fingers. It was very quiet in the auditorium and the applause went wild afterwards.

Lennan and Marlene from year 4 were also singled out for their special achievements in the reading competition.

Fourth graders Clovir, Tabea and Salim received great applause and recognition for their performance with singing and piano.

Finally, Ms. Mertens and Ms. Mönninghoff thanked the children of the GTG Council who, under the dedicated guidance of Ms. Sandner-Tomm, collected and presented many good ideas for improving the play situation. Through their efforts, the girls and boys are helping to make our school such a wonderful place to learn and work together.

We are looking forward to a new school year in which we will continue to grow and learn together!
