In a major joint effort, all classes - together with the teachers and educational staff - brought the motto of the day to life.
On the school grounds, in the immediate vicinity of the Lindenschule and in the school building itself, the children diligently tidied up, collected, sorted and cleaned. Through activities such as these, the children experience that joint action has an effect, how their own actions have a positive impact on the environment and on living together at our school. The sense of community is strengthened and the children see how much work is involved when, for example, garbage is carelessly thrown into the environment, things are not put away properly or garbage is not separated correctly.
As a school, we have firmly anchored the topic of sustainability in our school program. Participation in the "Gronau cleans itself up" campaign is therefore one of a number of measures we take during the school year.
