Lindenschule entered three teams this year. The boys in Year 4 finished in 6th place and were proud to have taken part and to be able to take home a medal. The girls in Year 4 were particularly successful again this year. After winning their group in the preliminary round with a 0:0 against Overbergschule and a 2:0 victory over Martin-Luther-Schule, the semi-final was followed by an acclaimed 1:0 victory against Eilermarkschule. In a one-sided final, Georgschule then retained the upper hand with a 3:0 win and secured the tournament victory. The disappointment of losing the final was forgotten at the latest when the Lindenschule footballers received a large trophy for their fantastic second place.
The Class 2 boys also received a large trophy, as they secured third place in their first participation in the Primary School Cup with seven points from five games.
The teams would like to thank the numerous fans of the Lindenschule, who created a great atmosphere with self-painted posters and loudly supported the athletes.
The Lindenschule would like to thank Fortuna Gronau and Stadtwerke Gronau for the excellent organization of the tournament. We are already looking forward to the next Primary School Cup!
