In cooperation with first aid instructor Britta Günther from Gronau-Epe, the girls and boys have spent the last few weeks learning about basic first aid measures in a fun way and practicing them accordingly.

First aid training is important even for primary school children. Small accidents happen quickly and everywhere. It is therefore all the more valuable if children know how to react correctly in such situations from an early age.
Children who learn to help others develop a sense of competence. This strengthens their self-confidence and sense of responsibility.
By learning how to act, children feel safer and less helpless in emergency situations. Fears are reduced.

First aid always means looking out for others, comforting them and taking responsibility. Empathy and social skills are encouraged accordingly.
Children learn best by doing and trying things out. That is why this project also uses age-appropriate methods such as small role-playing games, trying out bandages or making an emergency call in a playful way.

The project was once again financed by the Linden School's Friends' Association, to whom we would like to express our sincere thanks! Without the support of the Förderverein, such an important project would not be possible. The annual funding provided by the Förderverein enables our pupils to gain valuable experience that will benefit them not only during their time at school, but throughout their lives.
