From delicate crocuses to radiant daffodils, various early bloomers were explored and their beauty admired.
A particular highlight was observing the growth of the tulips.
The children watched with excitement as the first green tips emerged from the soil and slowly unfolded into magnificent flowers. They took the time to measure the growth and document it in their Book Creator. It was particularly exciting to explore the bulbs from which many early bloomers spring. The children learned how the bulbs store nutrients and bring the plants to life in spring.
The tulip was also addressed in an artistic and literary way in class. Tulips were folded out of paper in art lessons. The children made their own small bouquet of tulips and were able to take them home before the Easter vacations. In German lessons, the poem "The Tulip" by Josef Guggenmos was read. In the end, many children were even able to recite the poem by heart.
