After the girls and boys had made themselves comfortable in the school library, they listened to the exciting story of eleven-year-old Lena, who establishes a magical connection with a mysterious Haflinger mare.
During this special reading time, Gaby Hurink read various excerpts from her book so that the children could gain an insight into the story about friendship, love of horses, self-confidence and horse health. In a child-friendly way, the author describes how eleven-year-old Lena not only learns more and more about horses in the course of the story, but also discovers that she can surpass herself by courageously facing a situation that previously frightened her.
Afterwards, Gaby Hurink patiently and kindly answered all the questions from the enthusiastic girls and boys for a long time.
