Delicacies from the baking club

We started with colorful rainbow muffins. The children got to work enthusiastically and were of course delighted with the tasting.

The girls and boys wanted to make real crepes. No sooner said than done... The ingredients were quickly prepared by the nimble hands into a nice batter, which was then baked in the pan into golden-yellow crepes. The fragrant crepes were topped with chocolate sauce, bananas and strawberries. Of course, children's bars were also a must.

The next time we had a strawberry milkshake, which everyone really enjoyed.

The following week we did something very special:

We made "crabs" from puff pastry and chicken sausages. Sometimes they didn't look like that, but they tasted great. One child looked into the oven while we were waiting and said with amusement: "I've made a cat!" Everyone involved laughed heartily.

There were colorful flower cookies for Easter. There were no limits to creativity.

When making chocolate crossies, the young bakers realized that the specifications in the recipes were sometimes not correct.

In the end, the yield was very small, despite doubling the recipe. The children were also able to learn from this.

Everyone had a lot of fun preparing the fruit skewers. Some of the children sliced the fruit, while others got to work on the chocolate. One after the other, peaches, strawberries, blueberries and bananas were skewered onto a small stick and drizzled with liquid chocolate. The children then ate the fruit skewers with great relish.

The following week, the girls and boys made small ice cream cones from simple waffles. This allowed the children to give free rein to their creativity. The ice cream cones looked and tasted great.

A week later, we continued with pizza rolls. The children hardly needed any help with the preparation.

The end of "Back AG" was celebrated in style with "cocktails". The children requested "Coconut Kiss", "Watermelon Lemonade" and "Lemon Lemonade". There were also a few nibbles.

The respective recipes for the delicacies were collected during the entire time and bound into a small recipe book. As the children have worked intensively with the recipes and the preparation of the dishes, they can now easily prepare them themselves.

Everyone really enjoyed the workshop and with a recipe book in their pockets, the vacations can now begin.

We would like to thank Anja Tieke for her great support of the children and her commitment to the baking club.
