After a short warm-up at our school, the choir group packed their handcart full of instruments and music stands and made their way to the nearby City-Wohnpark. There, the ladies and gentlemen were already waiting for the young choir with coffee and cake, who immediately set the mood for the coming winter with "Schneeflöckchen Weißröckchen".
This was followed by Advent songs such as "Dicke rote Kerzen". Glockenspiels were used for the song "Kling Glöckchen" and provided bright pre-Christmas sounds. Of course, no St. Nicholas song could be missing in the week around St. Nicholas Day. The final song was "Open the doors".
The Linden children were delighted with the applause from the residents as well as the juice and small treats. Mariele Guth-Albermann rehearsed the songs with the children over the previous weeks and conducted. Christopher Koch accompanied the choir on the keyboard.
