Before they could start building their own marble runs, the children first learned about different marble runs to get an idea of various obstacles. The pupils then explored different ways of building a stable marble run out of paper as part of the series of lessons. Using adhesive tape and paper, they created countless supports and profiles during this construction process. The results were evaluated by the children and increasingly optimized.

Once all the pupils had learned about the key features of functional marble runs, gained insights into the stabilization of paper and developed into real marble run professionals, the teams were finally able to draw their own designs and start building their own marble run with great motivation. They were guided by the material specifications and the criteria they had developed.
As a grand finale, the pupils tested the finished marble runs in class and received final suggestions for optimization from the other children. After a final construction phase, the time had finally come: the young designers presented their marble runs to the school community in a fantastic exhibition in the foyer of the Lindenschule.
The children and adults are delighted with the results and full of praise for the work of the fourth-grade students.
