The importance of integration and the difficulties faced by people who come to Germany from another country were particularly emphasized.
A special highlight of the visit to the Gronau Integration Team was a hands-on activity in which the fourth-graders recorded their wishes for children around the world on a canvas. Topics such as peace, enough food for everyone, health and happiness were at the heart of the children's wishes. This campaign encouraged reflection on global connections and the importance of solidarity.
A reading from the book "Arrived" rounded off the morning. The book is about the personal experiences of four children who talk about their new life in Germany.
We would like to thank the integration team for this interesting insight into this important work and especially Ms. Amiranashvili, who provided the impetus for the visit. many of the children at Lindenschule come from other countries themselves and have only been living in Germany for a short time. The topics of integration and life in different countries are always present and topical for the school community at Lindenschule. It was only at the end of last school year that all pupils and adults worked intensively on the cultural diversity of the school as part of a project week. The results of the project week were finally presented during a large, colorful school festival on Friday, June 28, 2024.
