The children of the second grade had prepared a beautiful program, which they presented to the young and old spectators in the colorfully decorated schoolyard.
They had practiced diligently and greeted the new pupils and their families in different languages and with a fond wish for the future.
Afterwards, some of the second-graders slipped into the roles of the animal children, who also had their first day at school today with their teacher, the owl. Just like the girls and boys, many of the animal children were excited and nervous on this special day. Fortunately, the experienced owl had a good tip to counteract their insecurity and they all played to their strengths.
With the message that all children come to school with strengths and that everything is easier if you help each other and make school a nice place together, the new first graders moved into their classrooms and experienced their first real class time as schoolchildren.
We would like to thank all the helpers who contributed to the success of the school enrolment ceremony.
We wish all families a good start to school and the children lots of fun learning and living at the Lindenschule.
