Privacy policy

We take your privacy very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions. As new technologies and the continuous development of this website may result in changes to this privacy policy, we recommend that you read through the privacy policy again at regular intervals. Definitions of the terms used (e.g. "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Art. 4 EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).

Person responsible and data protection officer

Responsible according to Art. 4 para. 7 EU-DSGVO is Ms. Melanie Mönninghoff. Contact details: see above.

Schools must appoint a data protection officer. For schools under municipal and state sponsorship (this is the case for us as a municipal community elementary school), a data protection officer responsible for all schools in the school district is appointed by the responsible school authority. The school authority for the Borken district is responsible for us. The school authority has appointed Mr. Knut Kasche as data protection officer. You can contact the data protection officer at the e-mail address k.kasche@kreis-borken.de or at the postal address of the Borken district education authority: Schulamt für den Kreis Borken, Burloer Str. 93, 46325 Borken, with the addition 'der Datenschutzbeauftragte des Schulamtes'.

Collection and processing of personal data

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. During the mere informative use of the website, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following access data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f EU-DSGVO). Due to the anonymization of the data, it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person.

If personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is nevertheless collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Access data

The website operator or site provider collects data about access to the site and stores it as "server log files". The following data is logged in this way:

  • Visited website
  • Time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)

The data collected is only used for statistical analysis and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

Rights of the user

As a user, you have the right to request free information about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have inaccurate data corrected and to have processing of your personal data restricted or deleted. If applicable, you may also exercise your right to data portability (which is the right to obtain that personal data be transferred directly from one controller to another controller, where technically feasible). If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. At present, we do not store any personal data (as would be the case, for example, when using a contact form). You can use our website exclusively to obtain information about our school.

Data deletion

Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have a right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.

Right of objection

Users of this website may exercise their right to object to the processing of their personal data at any time.

If you wish a correction, blocking, deletion or information about the personal data stored about you or have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data or want to revoke consents granted, please contact the following e-mail address:

verwaltung@ls.schule.gronau.de

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data.

We would also like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation by third parties for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby expressly prohibited. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.
