The Lindenschule Visits "The Wizard of Oz"

The weather cooperated as well: With pleasant temperatures, everyone was able to enjoy the day outdoors and experience the special atmosphere of the open-air stage.

The students were already familiar with the story. They had read and discussed the fairy tale as part of their daily reading program. In first grade, the story was read aloud. This allowed the children to follow the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion on stage with particular attention.

The performance captivated the audience with its imaginative costumes, a fantastic set, and many exciting scenes. For the children, it was a special experience to see the story they had read come to life on stage.

The trip to the theater was a wonderful shared experience for all the classes and a successful blend of reading, learning, and culture. With many new impressions and fond memories, the students then boarded the buses to return to school.

"We'd like to thank the Reckenfeld Open-Air Theater for the wonderful performance, and we're already looking forward to our next outing together."
