As part of this project, we decided to offer "Discovering the world of photography: creativity and fun at a Holi photo shoot". The children were accompanied by photographer Nelleke Reimann from The Mirror Box Photography. The aim of the project was to teach the children the joy of photography in a playful way and to give them basic knowledge about cameras, image creation and creative expression.
In several meetings, the girls and boys dealt intensively with the topic of photography in an age-appropriate way. The children playfully explored basic questions: What is a camera? How do you handle it carefully? The Kulturstrolche also dealt with the importance of photos in their everyday lives and the responsible use of images was discussed.

The highlight of the project was a joint trip to the Laga. There, the children experienced a special highlight - a colorful Holi photo shoot with nature-friendly, biodegradable color powder. In small groups, they were allowed to get active themselves, take photos of each other and realize their own picture ideas. In addition, Ms. Reimann captured many beautiful and lively moments with her camera.
At the end, the Kulturstrolche met again to look at the resulting photos together. The children proudly presented their results and were able to discover their own creative progress.
An all-round successful project that was not only a lot of fun, but also gave the children an exciting insight into the world of photography. We are already looking forward to further creative projects as part of the Kulturstrolche open all-day program.
