As part of our activities as a Fairtrade School, we invited our team to a group Fairtrade breakfast. There was a wide variety of products to discover and try—from juices, tea, coffee, spreads, and honey to nut bars and other delicious snacks, all of which are Fair Trade.

In addition, staff at Lindenschule were able to learn more about Fairtrade through informative materials. The focus was on how even small everyday decisions—such as what to eat for breakfast—can be made in a conscious and sustainable way.
Fair-trade products such as coffee, tea, cocoa, and bananas play a vital role in improving living and working conditions in growing regions around the world. Reliable minimum prices protect producers from sharp market fluctuations, while additional revenue is invested in social projects as well as environmental and climate protection measures.
Through initiatives like this breakfast, we as a school want to show that sustainable practices are easy to put into action. At the same time, we want to encourage everyone to incorporate the principles of fair trade into their daily lives and to consume more consciously.
